Boosting posts might feel a lot easier than creating dedicated ad campaigns in Ads Manager – but does that mean you should do it, or is boosting posts a waste of money?

Whether it’s for your own account or your clients, you want to get the most bang for your buck when it comes to spending money on ads. So, in this episode, we’re comparing the two ways you can create Meta ads and seeing which comes out on top. Spoiler alert: there isn’t a clear winner – sometimes the ease of boosting makes more sense, sometimes the more robust side of Ads Manager wins out.

What we know for certain though, is that there is absolutely no point in listening to Meta when they say “This is your best performing post! Want to boost it?” and it has approximately three likes and no comments. That’s a crock of shit – boosting it literally will be a waste of money in that case. Tune into the episode to hear our pros and cons of boosting posts!

In this episode, we’re chatting about:

  • What boosting really is and how it differs from regular ads
  • When boosted posts can work and when to avoid them
  • How to boost your clients’ posts and set expectations with them
  • Why you should never boost a post that is doing badly (or listen to Meta saying it’s your “best performing post!”)
